Nameans is a name translation specialty website, a specialty site unprecedented in the world.
We provide a service that investigates the meanings of words in foreign languages no matter what it is you’re naming, from baby names to product names and company names.
We are looking for translators for the Nameans website.
The Translation Process:
1, Receive a translation request e-mail from Nameans.
2, As a general rule, reply via e-mail to the Nameans office within 3 day.
Because we have multiple translators registered to work on a single word, as a general rule, we will use the translation of whichever translator replied first. However in cases where there are quality issues, we will use the translation of whichever translator replied after that.
Our office will inform you whether or not your translation was the one used.
After receiving the request mail from Nameans, please look up what that name means in your native language.
Please give any naming advice you may have such as "in my country, that name is the same as a poorly regarded celebrity","that name is inappropriate for that product", or "there is a word with a similar pronunciation" and not just a standard translation.
Even if the quickest respondent's answer has already been adopted, we will still accept good additional advice and responses.
Compensation for being adopted is the same as the standard compensation.
Translation Fee
1 Name Translation = 50 JPY
Payment is typically made via PayPal at the end of the next month on the end of each month.
Translator Recruitment Details
We are seeking people who are native speakers of one of the languages listed below and are able to correspond via e-mail in Japanese or English. Anyone can reply regardless of profession or gender. Applicants should be 18 years of age or older.
After a question and answer session via e-mail we will inform you via e-mail regarding whether or not we have chosen to recruit you.
At the time of our website opening we will be providing services in Japanese and English. The ability to use either Japanese or English is a requirement.
It is not important whether fluent speaker or not. Because Nameans staff's English is not good.
